Joshua Fleming is my nephew in Asia. He is the son of Daniel Fleming a missionary to Asia. Many of you know Daniel and would like to be able to support him through prayer and encouragement at this time in his life. Joshua, Daniel's, 3 year old son has Lymphocytic Leukemia. 97% of his blood has been infected. Our prayer right now, is that it is not in the bone marrow. If it just stays in the blood, then it is curable, but if it gets in his bone marrow, then it is more or less untreatable. They will be getting test results for the bone marrow tomorrow, and that will tell all that we need to know.

Right now, Joshua is good because of blood given to him and he is also on steriods. Daniel said that when he went there this morning, that Joshua was up and is eating, due to the steroids.

Please lift Daniel and his family up in prayer as they get the test results tomorrow - telling Joshua's situation. We know the Lord is in CONTROL whatever He allows to happen.

Many thanks to all of you that have already spread the word and have been spending time in prayer over Joshua. I know that Daniel and Susan greatly appreciate all the support.

Daniel is not able to check Facebook in Asia, so please place comments on this blog so he is able to read and see everyone's support!

Thank you,

Sarah Fleming Britton and all of the Fleming family

  1. Hello Daniel and family,

We are praying earnestly for little Joshua and your family at this time. We pray God will give you the strength to endure any news you may receive from the doctors.

  2. Dear friends,

My friend, Mark Tolson sent me this blog . . .I have been following a young man in Israel in the same situation . . . God has been blessing him with "all that he needs" - I sent him a copy of this poem a few days ago . . .

For to consider all the prayers that go up for our loved one's that are ill . . . . This was just a wonderful - beautiful thought spoken here - it seems to me . . .

    I will pray - and pray earnestly - for young Joshua . . .
God bless you as you walk this path - but, not alone - my dear family - for we are all in this together . . . . as we hold to the hand of the the Great Physician . . . . . Jesus . . .

    The thought of many praying . . . .

    Have you ever listened,
To a large orchestra, or choir?
It may start with the strings,
    Gaining instruments, and tempo, desire.

    One cannot really understand,
How they can be separate, yet one.
Still the beauty travels in the air,
Until the victory - in oneness has come.

    What a beautiful sound,
To our Saviour it must be,
When the prayers of His children,
Are united with love, then set free.

    Let us pray for others,
And bow our humble selves to our Lord.
Let us join this orchestra of prayer,
Let Him hear as we pray –in one accord.

    His answer will come,
Let us accept it and just know.
To God be the honor and glory,
To the seed of prayer - that we sow.
